DATA PROTECTION INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS

Protecting your personal data during collection, processing, and use is important to us. Therefore, we process the personal data of our applicants in accordance with applicable laws on the protection of personal data and data security. Below you will find information on what data is collected, how it is used, and what rights you have:

3. Purposes and legal bases of processing

We will use your personal data provided during the application process, such as contact details, CV, certificates, qualifications, and notes from conversations with you, for communication with you and decision-making during the application process. The legal basis for storing, retaining, and processing your data is necessary for deciding on establishing an employment relationship (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR; § 26 para. 1 sentence 1 BDSG). If you give us your consent to include your data in a pool of interested parties after the application process, the legal basis for processing is §26 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR

 

4. Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data

Your personal data will be processed within the company by authorized persons involved in the application process. In addition, your data will be analyzed and processed on our behalf by BITE GmbH, a cloud service provider of applicant management systems based on contracts according to Art. 28 GDPR.

 

5. Transfer of personal data to a third country

There is no active transfer of personal data to a third country or international organization.

 

6. Duration of storage of personal data

After the application process, if we reject your application, your data will be deleted and any paper copies will be properly destroyed and disposed of. We will also follow this procedure if you inform us that you wish to withdraw your application. For defense against potential legal claims, we may retain your data for up to a maximum of 6 months. If you consent, we will include your data in a pool of interested parties for one year to consider them for future job postings.

 

7. Data subject rights

​​According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

  • Right to information about stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)

  • Right to correction if incorrect personal data is processed (Art. 16 GDPR)

  • Right to deletion or restriction of processing and objection to processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 GDPR)

  • Right to data portability if automated processing is carried out based on consent or contract (Art. 20 GDPR). If you exercise these rights, we will check if the legal requirements are met.

 

8. Right to revoke consent

If you have given consent for processing your data, you can revoke it at any time for future processing without affecting the legality of processing before revocation.

 

9. Obligation to provide data

During the application process, you only need to provide necessary data for assessing suitability for the position being filled; otherwise, you cannot participate in the application process.


No automated decision-making or profiling is used.
